• Our Methodology

  • Let’s face it.  Kids learn best while having fun!

LCF MethodologyYou can count on LCF Fun Languages to teach French, Spanish, Mandarin, Italian, English and German to children from the ages of 2 to 12 years. Our encouraging teachers look after small groups of students so we can give each child the necessary attention for them to soak up as much of the new language as possible.

Don’t worry if your child has no knowledge of their target language. The LCF methodology has been carefully designed to help your children start from scratch and make their way to proficiency at their own pace. However our clubs are also great for children who already have some knowledge of the language and wish to maintain it and expand it.

LCF Fun Languages’ engaging approach includes a wide range of activities to cover all learning styles.

    Our lessons include

    • Games
    • Music and Songs
    • Drama and Role Play
    • Activity Sheets

Supported by Babelzone and Englishzone, our unique online learning resources, which allow the children to continue their fun learning at home.

  • Our methodology reflects the natural process of language acquisition. Just as children acquire their first language, the same principles apply to a second language, particularly at the early stages of their development.

Children listen, repeat, speak, read and write. All components of our scheme of work are interwoven with cross-curricular themes, such as maths, financial literacy, social studies, music, art, and many more. At the heart of the programme is communication and inter-cultural understanding.

The students are exposed to the spoken word through a variety of activities, games, songs, role-plays and information technology. To promote an understanding of different cultures the children are encouraged to become independent (student driven) learners and we support them in inquiry learning. They love exploration and we are happy to “plan around” their inquisitive minds.

All language courses follow a carefully designed structure, which will ensure that your child starts USING the target languages quickly and naturally. Read more about our French Course progression or Spanish Course progression.

The Fun Languages Curriculum also reflects the literacy requirements of the Australian curriculum. We talk about “language knowledge” with the children, referring to what they already know in their first language and looking at similarities and differences in the new language. This aspect of teaching a language is an important foundation for future language learning.

At Fun Languages we are passionate linguists who have witnessed first-hand the benefits of early language acquisition.

It’s the FUN way to learn another language!
