The origin of Chinese New Year (or Lunar New Year) is centuries old and is the longest and most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. The Chinese New Year tradition is to reconcile, forget all grudges and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.

In China, it is known as "Spring Festival" and begins on the first day of the first month in the traditional Chinese calendar and ends with the Lantern Festival which is on the 15th day.

Give your child the advantage with LCF Fun Languages ‘French for Kids’

Funworksheet_timeatFrenchforKidsLCF_Fun_Languages__WellingtonThorndon"Each of my three children has attended LCF Fun Languages classes from the age of five.  My older daughter has since 'graduated'.  She has gone on to earn language prizes each year at her school, and also to achieve first place in her year in the 2011 Alliance Francaise French Oral Competition. The foundation provided by LCF Fun Languages classes has given my children a real facility for languages.  It has also given them an edge in understanding English language structures and vocabulary.  Annick Withinshaw is a gifted teacher, whose classes are pitched at just the right age level, with a focus on learning through conversation and fun."
Lindsay Renwick Karori, Wellington, November 2011
